| Upgrading on existing machine? |
|
If you are upgrading on an existing machine then follow the following steps:

Install the software into the same directory as the old software (if this is on the local hard-drive then this will likely to be "c:\ergosys\CDM 2007range" or "c:\program files\CDM 2007range" . You will still be able to use your previous version of the CDM 2007 Range.

Run the program and open any old *.ste files. Save them under a new name if you still wish to edit them with you old version of the CDM 2007 Range of software.

| Upgrading or moving the software onto a new machine? |
|
If you are moving the software on to a new machine then take the following steps.

Call e-Learning WMB on 08700 462450 to get a code to remove the software from your old machine. DO NOT UNINSTALL THE SOFTWARE PRIOR TO THIS TAKING PLACE.

Install the software into the new computer the default location is "c:\program files\CDM 2007range".

Copy the file general.mdb from the old machine this will likely to be found either in the "c:\ergosys\CDM " or "c:\program files\CDM" folder of the old machine and copy it on to the new computer into the application folder (the default location is "c:\program files\CDM". )

Copy any additional site, risk and briefing notes files (*.ste, *.rsk and *.rsk) into the corresponding location on the new computer.

Call e-Learning WMB for a new code for the new machine.

| Installing on a network? |
|
Using the CDM 2007 Range on a network means that a group of workers can share the database information that underlies the program such as risk assessment, control measure, client and chemical databases.
If you are installing the software on a network then follow the following steps:

Install the software into a shared folder on the network.

Repeat this process for each machine on the network (ensuring you install the software onto the same location).

Call e-Learning WMB for a code for each machine on the network (you will need to enter the code onto each machine locally.)
