e-Office Safety Application Version

e-Office Safety Application Version consists of two main components - the User Module and the Office Manager. The program contains the guidance and advice of eminent experts in the field to deal with the DSE Regs.

The User Module first carries out a DSE Assessment of the workstation by asking the user questions about the user's DSE. Where problems are identified the program offers training and more in-depth questions about areas of ergonomic concern to the individual, bringing the workstation into line with DSE Regulations. And at the end of the assessment, a training sheet is produced, serving as a reminder for the employee and a record for the employer.

The data collected from each DSE user - yes, even from laptops and home workers - is collated by the Office Manager module to create specific, dated charts of each employee assessment and their findings. DSE records can be maintained indicating exactly what has been done and when. In this way, the manager can see exactly where problems do and do not lie and focus further efforts more effectively. Good record keeping further ensure that should there be a future problem, the employer has at his fingertips the proof that he has discharged his responsibilities faithfully.

workstation assessment training

The ergonomics training is designed to give the workstation user the necessary information to carry out a ergonomics self-assessment of their workstation.

The e-learning is separated into 7 sections on seating, the desk (i.e. the workstation itself), typing, the monitor, the DSE work itself and health & environment.

the demo
Intranet versions of workstation assessment software can be run as well. The system is compatable with e-Office Safety Application Version's data management system.

the induction program
e-Office Safety also includes a fully customisable e-induction program.  The health and safety module within this induction e-learning program includes e-Office Safety and other modules on fire safety, accidents and manual handling as well as workstation assessments and training.  Visit the e-induction site to run a demo there.

DSE assessments
The DSE assessment takes the form of an ergonomics checklist.  The questionnaire is standard and has been written by the company ergonomist Emil Reisser-Weston MSc MErgS.  The text in the DSE checklist can be changed using the content management system.  Alternatively the system will link to any Learning Management System (SCORM compliant LMS) for complete customisation.
